A perspective on PR, development and life in the South West
I have worked in communications, in government and agency roles since 2005.
I am a director of Social Communications’ South West office, in Bristol, where I’ve worked since moving to this amazing region in 2010. Social is a brilliant outfit that specialises in public engagement and communications campaigns in sectors that I have worked in for some years – housing, transport, skills and public bodies.
I also worked for five years in the communications team at the Homes and Communities Agency, a government body, which was responsible for supporting almost half of all of the new houses built in the South West during that period.
Before joining the HCA in March 2010, I had five great years at public sector specialist PR agency IPB Communications, where I worked with local councils, social landlords, a leading retailer and employment and training providers.
I am CIPR qualified and a full member of the institute.
I am Pembrokeshire born and bred. Since leaving home at 19, I have lived in Sheffield (twice), Australia (various), Reading, Manchester and a place called Temple Cloud, based between Bristol and Bath. I now live in Wells, Somerset, with my wife, two children and two cats and two guinea pigs.
